White House Celebrates Five Year Anniversary of USA Freedom Corps

On February 13th, the President and Mrs. Bush joined USA Freedom Corps in celebrating their five year anniversary by participating in a briefing on volunteerism and a volunteer service project. Partners from our national service programs and the non-profit sector also came together for a reception in the East Room at the White House.

To mark the five year anniversary, USA Freedom Corps recently launched a new interactive map on their website that indicates where the President has recognized more than 550 individuals for answering the call to serve their neighbors and their nation. The map can be viewed by clicking here.
