President Bush to Recognize New Jersey Devils Captain and Young Volunteer for Dedication to Service

President George W. Bush met Scott Stevens and Marisa Fontainhas upon arrival in Newark, New Jersey, on Monday, June 16, 2003. Scott Stevens, defenseman and team captain of the 2003 Stanley Cup Champion New Jersey Devils, volunteers his time with several civic and charitable organizations. Fontainhas, a recent graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology, received a scholarship in 1998 from the New Jersey Nets and Devils Foundation as a result of her volunteer service in the Newark community.
