President George W. Bush presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Bradley Fisher, 17, and Taylor Mayes, 17, upon arrival at the airport in Kansas City, Missouri, on Friday, September 8, 2006. Fisher and Mayes, seniors at Smithville High School, are volunteers with Youth with Vision. To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors local volunteers, called USA Freedom Corps Greeters, when he travels throughout the United States. President Bush has met with more than 500 individuals around the country, like Fisher and Mayes, since March 2002.
