President George W. Bush presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Tanya and Barry Jeong upon arrival at the airport in Chicago, Illinois, on Monday, May 22, 2006. The Jeongs are volunteers at the Chinese Christian Union Church in Chicago. To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors local volunteers, called USA Freedom Corps greeters, when he travels throughout the United States. President Bush has met with more than 500 individuals around the country, like the Jeongs, since March 2002.
