PEER SUPPORT

The heart of TAPS is our Peer Support Network. It represents the simple recognition of the powerful connections made when you can communicate with those having shared experiences. Our peer support network is a circle of comfort, warmth and understanding.

You connect on a personal level with other survivors by relationship, circumstance or just the shared experience of grief. Whether you are newly bereaved or several years have passed in your grief journey, the TAPS Peer Support Network can provide various levels of support and interaction; 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

TAPS and the caring individuals who make up the TAPS Peer Support Network are here for you as a companion on your journey. We are here to support you and walk with you, as long as you need!

HOW TO REQUEST A PEER MENTOR

If you want to connect with another person that will reach out to you, be a companion and offer an empathetic ear; our Peer Support Network is for you! Our peer network is a collection of survivors; survivors who have the shared experience of the death of a loved one, and are now at a place where they are willing to reach out to you. They have dedicated their time to provide a personal perspective and heartfelt care for you. They provide a one-on-one connection in whatever manner is most comfortable for you; via telephone, e-mail, or personal visits, each connects you with someone who cares, someone who will listen, and someone who will offer you their time, their experience and their compassion.

To request a Peer Mentor, please send email to info@taps.org.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO BECOME A PEER MENTOR? WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE A COMPANION TO NEWLY BEREAVED INDIVIDUALS AND SUPPORT THE MISSION OF TAPS? FIND OUT DETAILS HERE.
