President George W. Bush presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Chaplain Bob Floyd upon arrival at the airport in Richmond, Virginia, on Thursday, October 19, 2006. Floyd is a volunteer with the Vietnam Veterans of America and the Chesterfield County Police Department. To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors a local volunteer, called a USA Freedom Corps Greeter, when he travels throughout the United States. President Bush has met with more than 500 individuals around the country, like Floyd, since March 2002.
