(Washington D.C.) -- The Corporation for National and Community Service has extended the deadline to submit a Challenge Grant application to September 27, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

The original deadline was August 23, 2005. Due to a large number of requests for extensions, the Corporation is moving the deadline back to allow more time for applicants to prepare and submit applications. There have been no other changes to this competition.
