12/12/2008 President Bush to Recognize San Antonio Family for Dedication to Volunteer Service
President George W. Bush will present the President’s Volunteer Service Award to mother and daughter Lidia and Becky Oprean when he arrives in Waco, Texas, on Friday, December 12, 2008. The Opreans are founders and volunteers with Becky’s Hope Ministries. To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors a local volunteer when he travels throughout the United States. He has met with more than 675 volunteers, like the Opreans, since March 2002.

12/8/2008 President Bush to Recognize West Point Soldier for Dedication to Volunteer Service
President George W. Bush will present the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Jermaine Malone when he arrives in New Windsor, New York, on Tuesday, December 9, 2008. Malone, a sergeant first class in the United States Army, is a volunteer with the West Point BOSS program. To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors a local volunteer when he travels throughout the United States. 12/4/2008 President Bush to Recognize Philadelphia Area Man for Dedication to Volunteer Service

Williams, a Cheltenham resident, is a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters Southeastern Pennsylvania.
