Plus,
once you get started, you’ll be on your way to
qualifying for the President’s Call to Service Award,
which recognizes those who have made a sustained
commitment to volunteer service by dedicating at least
4,000 hours over the course of their lifetimes.
Keep track of your volunteer hours by using our
Record of Service Page
(PDF).
When you have completed enough hours to earn an
award, you’ll need to send your completed
Record of Service Page
to a Certifying Organization, who will order the award
for you. There are currently over 5,000 Certifying
Organizations who have registered to recognize their
volunteers. Organizations such as the Girl Scouts of the
USA, Big Brothers Big Sisters, City Cares and America’s
Promise are honoring their volunteers throughout the
country.
Ask at your school, church, mosque, temple, civic
organization, or youth group to find out if they are
already a Certifying Organization. If they are not
already signed up, encourage them to do so by visiting
www.presidentialserviceawards.gov.
Or, we can contact your organization for you to
encourage them to become a Certifying Organization.
E-mail your full name and phone number and the name,
email address, mailing address, and phone number of the
potential Certifying Organization(s) to
inquiries@presidentialserviceawards.gov.
