1/5/2009 Service for Peace and RSVP launch the Sixth Annual Greater Louisville Martin Luther King, Jr. Season of Service 2009 and 40 Days of Peace
  The Sixth Annual Greater Louisville Martin Luther King Jr. Season of Service 2009 sponsored by the Service for Peace organization and RSVP will launch on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Memorial Auditorium from 10:00 am to 11:30 a.m.

  Governor Jim Doyle (Wis.) today announced the winners of the 2006 Governor’s Service Awards. The Governor’s Service Awards are presented to programs and individuals that help solve serious social problems and meet their community’s needs.

7/22/2005 AmeriCorps, Senior Corps Join Forces for Hurricane Dennis Recovery
  Over 110 members of the national service programs AmeriCorps and Senior Corps are combining their efforts to assist communities in and around Pensacola with clean up and repair following Hurricane Dennis. These programs were called upon by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) shortly after Dennis moved through the area.
