Earn an Award From the President!

PVSA AwardIn January of 2003, President George W. Bush created the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation. The Council, which is chaired by Washington Redskins legend Darrell Green, and co-chaired by former Senators Bob Dole and John Glenn, at the President’s direction, created the President’s Volunteer Service Award to recognize people of all ages who are dedicated to helping others.

When you earn the award you will receive an official President’s Volunteer Service Award pin, a personalized certificate of achievement, a note of congratulations from the President of the United States, and a letter from the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation.

Earning the award is easy! Youth 14 and younger can earn awards at the following levels for service in one calendar year:

PVSA - Bronze Pin Bronze
50-74 hours
PVSA - Silver Pin Silver
75-99 hours
PVSA - Gold Pin Gold
100 hours or more
