Ideas

Here are some ideas we've come up with to show you how easy volunteering really is.  Find something you care about and give it a try!

Blue star Write a thank you note for an American soldier. Print and color this thank you note to send to our men and women in uniform. Visit www.amillionthanks.org to find out where to send your note. Or, if you would like to send an email message to the troops or find more ideas how you can help support the Armed Services, visit On the Homefront.

Red star Decorate an old t-shirt to wear while cleaning up your neighborhood or make a bunch of shirts and organize a clean-up project in a local park with your friends and neighbors.  Find an old shirt and follow these simple t-shirt decorating instructions.

Blue star Ask your parent to help you organize a bake sale or a lemonade stand. Donate the money you raise to your favorite local charity or faith-based organization. Have an adult help you make a favorite cookie recipe to sell.
