Earn an Award From the President!

PVSA LogoNot only is volunteering fun and rewarding, but you can earn a great award!

President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation, which is chaired by Washington Redskins legend Darrell Green, and co-chaired by former Senators Bob Dole and John Glenn, at the President’s direction, created the President’s Volunteer Service Award to recognize people of all ages who are dedicated to helping others.

Those who earn the Award will receive an official President’s Volunteer Service Award pin, a personalized certificate of achievement, a note of congratulations from the President of the United States, and a letter from the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation.

Kids under 14 years old can earn the Award by completing 50 or more hours of volunteer service in one year. And, the sooner you get started, the sooner you will qualify for the Call to Service Award, available to those who dedicate at least 4,000 hours over the course of their lifetimes to volunteer service.

Ask your parent, guardian, or teacher to help you keep track of your volunteer hours using our Record of Service Page (PDF), and get started now!

(Parents, click here for more information about the Award.)
