You can answer President Bush’s Call to Service by
finding a volunteer activity to enjoy in your local area
or during a vacation away from home. You can help an
existing volunteer organization on your own, as a family
activity, or with a group of friends.
Or, you can find a need in your area that isn’t being
addressed and create a plan to help answer it.
There are opportunities to help all across America and
we’ve put together some ideas on this site to help
you find the right opportunity. Every one of us can do something
to make a difference – mentor a younger child, help out at a
food bank or homeless shelter, clean a park, learn how to respond to a natural
or manmade disaster, or help build a playground. The
opportunities are limited only by your imagination and
energy. Most importantly, you can dedicate as little or
as much time as you have – every bit helps.
