Help Your Students Earn an Award From the President! (cont.)

When you or your students have completed enough hours to earn an Award, you’ll need to send their completed Record of Service to a Certifying Organization, who will order the Award for you. There are currently over 5,000 Certifying Organizations who have registered to recognize their volunteers. Organizations such as the Girl Scouts of the USA, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Hands on Network (formerly CityCares), and America’s Promise are honoring their volunteers with the Award throughout the country. Ask at your school, church, mosque, temple, civic organization, or youth group to find out if they are already a Certifying Organization. If they are not already signed up, encourage them to do so by visiting www.presidentialserviceawards.gov.

Or, we can contact your organization for you to encourage them to become a Certifying Organization. E-mail your full name and phone number and the name, email address, mailing address, and phone number of the potential Certifying Organization(s) to inquiries@presidentialserviceawards.gov.
