USA Freedom Corps Celebrates
Five Year Anniversary

President George W. Bush created USA Freedom Corps to build on the countless acts of service, sacrifice, and generosity that followed September 11, 2001. When he announced USA Freedom Corps in his 2002 State of the Union Address, President Bush called on all Americans to serve a cause greater than themselves. This month, we are celebrating the 5th anniversary of USA Freedom Corps, and the millions of Americans that have answered the call to service. In 2006 alone, the Bureau of Labor and Statistics reported that over 61 million Americans volunteered.

USA Freedom Corps is proud to partner with the President's Task Force on New Americans to foster volunteerism through www.volunteer.gov.
