If your TWIA-insured property receives windstorm damage, please NOTIFY YOUR INSURANCE AGENT as soon as possible. YOUR AGENT will notify Texas Windstorm, and we will have an adjuster contact you directly. Please, DO NOT contact TWIA directly, as we are required to deal with your agent. Meanwhile please take reasonable steps to PROTECT YOUR PROPERTY from further damage, and KEEP GOOD RECORDS. Please do not make permanent repairs until
after the adjuster has made an inspection. Take photographs of damage, and give them to your adjuster. We may have MANY claims. Your loss is important to us, and we will handle it as
quickly as possible.
PLEASE DO NOT REPORT YOUR CLAIM BUT ONE TIME. THANKS.
Any requests for new policies received in the TWIA offices on or after June 5, 2006 must be submitted on our TWIA E-Quote applications. Any submissions received on or after June 5, 2006 that are not on our E-quote web applications will be returned to the agents unbound, for resubmission on the proper forms.

Insurance Association is a pool of all
property and casualty (P&C) insurance companies authorized to
write coverage in Texas.
TWIA is neither
a state organization, nor a for-profit company,
and therefore does not seek to increase its market share. We do
not actively compete against private insurance providers. TWIA is the provider
of last resort, and our internal policies reflect that fact.
While our ultimate goal is to depopulate our book of business, we feel that customers are entitled to the best possible service we can offer when they must turn to TWIA for insurance. Read more about our recent customer service initiatives in the News section.
