Circular Letter No. 653

June 21, 2007

TO: Printing and Publishing Officials of the Federal Government

SUBJECT: Announcing GPO’s Simplified Purchase Agreement (SPA) EXPO

You are cordially invited to attend the first ever Government Printing Office (GPO) SPA Expo.  The SPA Expo will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at GPO, 732 North Capitol Street, N.W. Washington, D.C., in Harding Hall from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

The Simplified Purchase Agreement program provides an easy method for customer agencies to write, procure, and administer individual work orders.

The SPA Expo will be hosting 30 local contractors and will provide a unique opportunity for Printing Specialists to meet face-to-face with contractors and familiarize themselves with the contractor’s printing capabilities, specialties and technologies.  The contractors will each be assigned a table where they will be exhibiting portfolios and samples of their work.

GPO is very excited to be able to offer this service to you, our customer, and to provide you the chance to meet and talk to contractors that assist you in your everyday printing needs.  This will give the customers the opportunity to meet with SPA contractors and learn more about what they can offer.  GPO’s Production Department will also be hosting Plant tours every half hour.  Please sign up at the Team 1 registration table if you are interested.

It is requested that you please RSVP no later than June 25th with APS, Team 1 at (202) 512-0455 or via e-mail at SPA960@gpo.gov.  This will allow us time for security arrangements with our Human Capital Office.  We look forward to seeing you at the SPA Expo.

Sincerely,

JIM BRADLEY
Managing Director, Customer Services
