Lecture topics are designed to make class participants familiar with the roles of the various agencies. Topics vary depending on which IEMC is being conducted. Preparedness and response IEMCs include presentations on various disciplines; emergency program management, public policy, community services, public works, fire service, law enforcement, public information/media, public health/hospital management and emergency medical services. Recovery and mitigation IEMCs also include sessions on recovery issues such as debris management, record keeping, and methods to reduce the impact of future disasters.
