This course is designed to enable participants to become more effective instructors. The course includes in-class reading assignments, instructor-led discussions, workgroup exercises, a quiz, and individual presentations. Since the emphasis of this course is on delivery, participants will be required to make at least three presentations using a variety of training techniques. Participants must be prepared to deliver one presentation using content of a unit or lesson of instruction to include an IG, SM and Visuals. This may be the IG, SM and Visuals they have created in E604 Course Development.
The primary focus will be State Emergency Management Agencies and Offices. FEMA staff, State exercise training officers, and other key emergency management trainers also may participate.
This course is also required: Participants must complete E601, E602, E603, and E604 first.
Participants must be prepared to deliver a presentation using the content of the unit or lesson of instruction that was developed in the course Development Course (E604) or that they are developing for their Master Trainer Practicum, or another unit of instruction from something else they have developed. The participant must come to class with a complete unit to include the instructor guide, student manual, and visuals.
