The Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) will award a cooperative agreement that will support the establishment and maintenance of a pediatric applied research network that will develop new ideas for study, will pilot multiple protocols, and will implement full studies based on previous piloted projects. A cooperative agreement provides Federal funding for a project in which the Federal Program works in partnership with the cooperative agreement recipient. Substantial MCHB scientific and/or programmatic involvement with the awardee is anticipated during the performance of the project and will be clearly outlined in the application guidance.
