Interventions may be considered for donors after neurological death (DND) and donors after cardiac death (DCD), both controlled and uncontrolled. Hypothesis driven testing of emerging technologies will be considered. All projects must have rigorous methodology and evaluation components capable of ascertaining the effectiveness of the intervention(s). The ultimate goal of the CIOP Grant Program is to increase the number of and ultimately the effective transplantation of deceased donor organs in the United States.
