Dates: March 20-24, 2006
Course Information: This exercise-based
course is offered at the Noble Training Center in Anniston, Alabama
at the (closed) Noble Hospital at Ft. McClellan. Using the setting
of a functional hospital environment, this course offers realistic
exercises and timely presentations to participating students wanting
experience preparing and responding to mass casualty events.
Prerequisite: Direct functional
or employment ties to Hospital, Emergency Medical Services, or Public
Health agencies
Audience: The following positions

Emergency Department Nurse 3
Patient Care Nurse/Administrator 2
Facility Management/Security 1
Hospital Administration/Executive 3
Public Health (Local or State) 3
While individuals may apply, preference is given
to communities submitting for “Teams” consisting of
one person each from each of the disciplines listed above.
Course Length: Course starts Monday
at 8:00 a.m. and ends Thursday at 5:00 p.m. Buses transport students
from the Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport on Sunday at 5:00
p.m. At the conclusion of the course, buses transport students to
the Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport on Friday at 7:00 a.m.
Note: The Atlanta area is Eastern
Standard Time, while the Noble Training Center is Central Standard
Time. As such, please make returning flight departures after 1:00
p.m. on Friday.

CEU’s: Nurse applicants accepted
into this course will be eligible for 30 Continuing Medical Education
(CME) units and Physicians are eligible for 21.25 CME’s.
