Creating a New Database - Using RASPLOT to Create a Profile Database From a Hydraulic Model That is Not HEC-2 or HEC-RAS
RASPLOT can create a profile database automatically from a HEC-2 or a HEC-RAS hydraulic model by extracting the necessary information from the model and putting it into a format that RASPLOT can use. HEC-2 and HEC-RAS are the most commonly used hydraulic models in the National Flood Insurance Program, and therefore, RASPLOT was geared toward creating flood profiles from these two programs. However, RASPLOT has the capabilities to create flood profiles from other programs also, as explained in the following downloadable document:
