Program Overview

     The Bridge is a new nonprofit organization that will enrich the educational and business sectors in the greater Las Cruces, New Mexico region.  We believe that in order to help our students and industries thrive, we need to essentially “bridge the gap” between young people who are looking for a career path and businesses that are seeking a skilled work force.

     The Bridge’s top priority is to reduce the high school drop out rate in Dona Ana County.  Many students who are at risk of not completing their high school degree believe their school coursework is irrelevant to their future goals.  The Bridge reaches out to these students by allowing them to gain real world experience in fields such as such as nursing, agriculture, manufacturing, and finance. Students involved in this program also earn their high school diploma and have the option to complete coursework towards an Associate’s Degree.
