Security Screening
Security screening extends beyond passengers heading to their planes. Behind the scenes, we have fielded sophisticated technology solutions to screen all their luggage as well. We electronically screen millions of bags for explosives and other dangerous items each day at over 7,000 baggage screening locations and at over 450 airports nationwide. Together with local airports, we constantly field new equipment and protocols to ensure the latest available technology is used to both screen checked baggage and to maximize efficiency.
We also directly participate with the Department of Homeland Security's Technology Research Lab in developing and using technology, which pushes the bounds of science so we are always at the forefront of screening capability.
