Acronyms
Goal:
This section will allow the user to generate a report. The user will first select a Report or Letter. Depending on the Report or Letter selected the user will enter report parameters used to generate the report. The report or letter will open in a separate window. If the user needs help on a report or letter they may select it from the list below.
Run Report Button:
The Run Report button will open a new window with a report or letter based on the parameters entered by the user.
Public
Completed LOMCs by Community
- Purpose
- This report lists all completed changes to map panels in a community.
- Community
- Any State or area or political subdivision thereof
or any Indian tribe or authorized tribal organization
or Alaska Native village or authorized native organization
which has the authority to adopt and enforce floodplain management regulations for the areas within its jurisdiction.
- Comm ID
- The Community Identification (CID) number is a unique 6 digit number assigned to each community that has been identified under the National Flood Insurance Program. The CID number is shown on each FIRM panel and is the first 6 digits of all non-countywide format FIRM panel numbers.
- FIRM Index Eff Date
- The date when the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) index record became official.
- Cur FIS Rpt Eff Dt
- The date within the current fiscal year when the report becomes official.
- FIRM Panel No.
- A division within a State
usually encompassing one or more cities or towns.
- FIRM Panel Eff Date
- The source of the flood hazard (i.e.
Potomac River).
- Project Number (Case #)
- The period of time that the NSP is actively working on a LOMC.
- LOMC Type
- The negotiated end date agreed to in the scope of work or Mapping Activity Statement.
- Project ID
- The identifier is the street address

- Flooding Source
- The cost incurred on the activity to date
or the final cost.
- Eff Date of Map Change
- The date when the Map Change becomes effective.
- Determ Date
- The date of the determination letter (i.e.
The date of the Letter of Map Revision (LOMR)).
- Reval Letters
- Do you need to prepare a revalidation letter (checked or unchecked)
- Reval Letters Issue Date
- The issued/ mailed date of the Revalidation Letter.
- Best Avail Data Letters
- The best available data letters.
- Best Avail Data Letters Issue Dt
- The issue date of the best available data letters.
Open LOMCs
- Purpose
- This is a text report that provides the status of open amendments and revisions projects
and this report also includes LOMCs that have been completed in the last 180 days. Only one project or community can be selected.
- Project Number (Case #)
- The case number assigned by the National Service Provider (NSP). Typically consists of Year

Project Locator
- Purpose
- The purpose of this report is to provide a way to find projects (pre-scoping
study
amendment
revision) for a geographical area.
- Region
- A region is a geographical area made up of multiple states.
- State
- Any state

the territories and possessions of the United States
the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico
and the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands.
- County
- A division within a state
usually encompassing one or more cities or towns.
- County FIPS
- The Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) Code is the unique 5 digit number that is assigned to each county in the United States. This number is comprised of a 2 digit state code followed by a 3 digit county code. The FIPS code is the first 5 digits of all countywide format FIRM panel numbers.
- Community
- Any State or area or political subdivision thereof

Study Project Locator
- Purpose
- The report was designed for users to search Study Projects in MIP. The Study Project Locator has the same design as the Study section of the Project Locator report. However
the MIP Portal allows users to search Study projects in a larger geography (e.g.
FEMA Region
State) for Study Project Locator
but only allows a county or community level search for Project Locator Report.
