Course Information:
The purpose of this course is to assist State, tribal
and local governments to successfully plan for, respond to, and
recover from a major debris-generating event. Course units include:
Overview, Managing Debris Activities, Environmental and Historic
Preservation Considerations, Eligibility and Reasonable Costs, Forecasting
and Estimating Techniques, Contracting Procedures, Management Site
Evaluation and Operation, Debris Monitoring, and Supplemental Assistance.
Maximum 30 students. Enrollment is first come, first served.
Prerequisite: None
Course Length: 4 full days. Travel
days are Sunday and Friday.
Audience:
The course is designed primarily for State, local
or tribal government, officials responsible for planning, managing,
and/or implementing debris removal and disposal activities from
all types of disasters.
Location: National Emergency Training
Center in Emmitsburg, Maryland

• Complete a FEMA Form 75-5, General Admissions
Application with student signature and signature of supervisor
or sponsoring agency official.

emergency management training office who will fax it to the National
