The Emergency Management Institute (EMI) is accepting
applications for the November offering of E449 Incident Command
System Train-the-Trainer.
Dates: November 14-17, 2005
Course Information: This course
prepares participants to deliver EMI’s ICS 300, Intermediate
ICS, ICS 400, Advanced ICS, and the ICS/EOC Interface Workshop (G191).
Course Length: 4 days. Course starts
Monday at 8:30 a.m. and ends Thursday at 5:00 p.m. Buses depart
from the National Emergency Training Center (NETC) campus Friday
at 9:30 a.m.
Participant Selection Criteria:
Participants must have a working knowledge of ICS through experience
and training and have experience training adults.
Prerequisites: ICS 100, ICS 200,
ICS 300, ICS 400, IS 700 and IS 800. Students must have taken the
Emergency Management Institute, U.S. Department of Agriculture,
National Fire Academy, or National Wildfire Coordinating Group ICS
courses. Other ICS courses must be consistent with the ICS objectives
prescribed by the NIMS Integration Center.
Participants must have served in
one or more ICS command or general staff positions on incidents
longer than one operational period or an incident that required
an incident action plan, and involved multi-agency coordination.
NOTE: Persons who previously completed
E449 can deliver EMI’s revised ICS curriculum without repeating
E449.
Location: The course is held at
NETC in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
