Additional Information on these courses:
The courses will be offered through the National Fire Academy Online Learning Management System. Students using this online training must be affiliated with an NWCG member agency (through direct membership or agreement) or a member of a fire department.

A course administrator is required for each student. After completing the online training and the required field day with practical tasks. Your agency/department can then certify your completion of the training by issuing the final certificate(s) and issue you a red card.

Note: NWCG does not issue certificates, red cards, provide course administrators or host exercises/training. These will be provided by your training officer or fire department.

Instructor Certification
The National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) recognizes the increasing emergency response expertise being developed by non-NWCG agencies. NWCG standards for instructors have been modified to recognize the potential for non-NWCG agencies to effectively and consistently help deliver incident responder training. The Field Manager’s Course Guide is being updated to reflect the new guidelines. The NWCG announced the new guidelines in a memo titled, “Instructor Certification,” dated December 18, 2007.
