Purpose of Course:

The purposes of the course are to:

  • Create a positive workplace.
  • Remove or minimize personal and systemic barriers that preclude any employee from making his or her maximum contribution toward achieving FEMA's mission.

    Participants will be able to:

  • Identify a common definition of diversity.
  • Explain the difference between diversity and affirmative employment.
  • Discuss how perceptions are formed and the implications that can arise from those perceptions.
