This course covers the process and SOPs of: damage assessment, data collection, documentation, analysis, reporting, and coordination. The course is designed to introduce the target audience to the laws and rules that govern the PDA process, an overview of the team member roles, and a brief introduction to the annexes regarding Tribal lands, Alaskan Native lands, Pacific Islands, etc.
By the end of this course, the target audience will be able to:
- Identify the basis of FEMA’s authority.
- Define steps and FEMA’s role in the disaster declaration process.
- Describe and use the PDA-IA Operations Manual.
- Explain the roles and responsibilities of PDA Team Members.
- Identify PDA field procedures and applicable forms.
FEMA IA personnel, State and local partners, and any other agency or organization personnel involved in the PDA process.
