Disaster Field Training Operations

DF-320: IA DRC Group Supervisor

Purpose of Course:

This course is to provide participants with basic fundations and general guidelines to perform tasks of a DRC group supervision, additional experience must be accquired through training/mentoring with an experienced DRC group supervisor.

Course Objectives:

By the end of this course participants will be able to:

  • Define the role of the Disaster Recovery Center Coordinator.
  • Explain the relationship of the DRC Coordinator with disaster recovery partners.
  • Describe the major functions of DRC Coordination during each stage of DRC Operations: Set-up, Daily Operations, and Closure.
  • Describe the importance of information sharing in DRC Operations.

Target Audience:

DRC Managers, inexperienced DRC group supervisors, DRC support team leaders and DRC support specialists.

Approximate Time:

5 1/2 Hours.

  • Introduction to Individual Assistance DF-103 (Independent Study, computer-based training or DFTO module)

Three deployments as a DRC Manager, including opening and closing of a DRC at least once
