Course: E835 IT Enterprise Course Federal – Invitation Only

Date:  July 14 – 17, 2008

Course Description:
This course is designed to update IT professionals on the latest developments within IT Enterprise Operations. This includes updates to developing systems, changes to current processes and procedures, updates to software/hardware systems within FEMA, an update and review of Disaster Response operations and changes, (includes JFO conceptual changes), licensing & DHS data warehousing requirements, Cyber Security information, and other topics pertinent to an IT Professional.

Course Goal:

  1. Demonstrate a working knowledge of IT systems and the systems applicability to disaster assistance operations.
  2. Demonstrate the ability to analyze potential on-site IT issues and determine where assistance or solutions can be found within FEMA IT.
  3.  Convey accurate, clear, and consistent information regarding IT support to FEMA’s missions.

Prerequisite:

None.

Course Length:
4 full days. Travel days are Sunday and Friday.

Target Audience:
FEMA IT Staff who work with internal IT Enterprise systems who did not attend an E835 course in 2006 or 2007.  

Location:
National Emergency Training Center, Emergency Management Institute, Emmitsburg, Maryland.

Complete a FEMA Form 75-5, General Admissions Application with student signature and signature of supervisor. Regional Students must also obtain a Regional Training Manager signature. The deadline for applications is Monday, June 2, 2008. Fax the applications to the National Emergency Training Center Admissions Office at (301) 447-1658.
