Course Description:
This course is designed to teach Communications/IT Managers updates to the JFO Communications SOP, hardware standards, coordination with the Disaster Emergency Communications Division, and other critical Information Technology and Communications related topics. The instruction will assist in assuring consistency in communications/IT planning and operational execution during an emergency or incident.
Course Goals:
- Learn how to assure consistency in communications/IT planning and operational execution during an emergency or incident.
- Learn the hardware standards for communications and IT equipment.
- Understand the working relationship between FEMA’s IT staff and the Disaster Emergency Communications Division during a disaster or Incident.
- Understand property and security issues impacting disaster operations.

Course Length:
2 and ½ days. Travel days are Monday and Friday. |
Target Audience:
FEMA MERS Telecom and Operations Managers, Regional IT Managers, MW IT Staff and FEMA Executive Staff who will be involved in incident operations.
