Committee Mission

The mission of the Conference Committee is to plan, coordinate and develop the IAEM Annual Conference. The Committee will be responsible for all facets of the program including topics, schedule, speakers and coordination of any training or seminars offered in conjunction with the conference. The committee membership is limited to 15 persons and will coordinate its activities with IAEM staff and the host jurisdiction.

The President shall appoint a chairperson(s) from the general membership, and one member each from the Business and Industry, Science & Technology, Government Information, Training and Education Committees and the International Task Force, if applicable.

The Conference Committee also provides recommendations to the membership regarding conference location and facilities, providing a choice of sites as appropriate. Staff is responsible for soliciting various proposals and information regarding site options. The Board of Directors makes final approval.
