The counties of Alleghany, Alexander, Ashe, Avery, Bladen, Buncombe, Burke, Cabarrus, Caldwell, Catawba, Cleveland, Columbus, Cumberland, Gaston, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Hoke, Iredell, Lincoln, Madison, McDowell, Mecklenburg, Mitchell, Polk, Robeson, Rutherford, Scotland, Transylvania, Union, Watauga, Wilkes and Yancey.

Public Assistance
(Assistance to State and local governments for the repair or replacement of disaster-damaged public facilities):

The counties of Anson, Ashe, Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Caldwell, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Transylvania, Watauga, and Yancey for debris removal and emergency protective measures (Categories A and B) at 100 percent Federal funding of the total eligible costs for the first 72 hours and The counties of Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Caldwell, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Transylvania, Watauga, and Yancey for Public Assistance [Categories C through G](already designated for debris removal and emergency protective measures [Categories A and B] at 100 percent Federal funding of the total eligible costs for the first 72 hours.) Direct Federal assistance is authorized

Hazard Mitigation Grant Program
(Assistance to State and local governments for actions taken to prevent or reduce long term risk to life and property from natural hazards):

All counties in the State of North Carolina are eligible to apply for assistance under the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program.
