Congressman Berry cuts the ribbon at a grand opening ceremony for a new building that will house Arkansas State University at Newport's Commercial Driver Training Program. He is joined by other local leaders including ASUN Chancellor Dr. Larry Williams, State Representative Tommy Dickenson, former State Senator Kaneaster Hodges, and Newport Mayor David Stewart.



Congressman Berry joins local leaders in Jonesboro for a grand opening ceremony of the new Jonesboro Family Health Center. The facility provides primary health care services to Jonesboro residents as well as education on healthy behavior.



Congressman Marion Berry joins Highland Mayor David Shackelford and other city officials in a groundbreaking ceremony for the city's new sewer project that will service over 500 homes and businesses. The city received funding for the project from USDA Rural Development and the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission.



Congressman Berry addresses a crowd in Highland to celebrate the groundbreaking of a $4.5 million sewer project. The Congressman worked with officials at USDA Rural Development to secure part of the funding for the project.



Congressman Berry meets with the men and women of Arkansas National Guard and Reserves on their return from Iraq. The Welcome Home Ceremony at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock honored as many as 7,500 troops.



Congressman Berry presented the City of Clarendon with a check for $64,287 to purchase a back up generator for the city's water plant in the case of loss of electricity. On hand for the check presentation were (from left) LaVonne McDonald of Central Arkansas Planning and Development District; Frank Haynes of Rural Development; Mayor Don Boshers; and Congressman Marion Berry.

SFC Terry K. Long (R) and SFC John W. Putt III (L), both members of the 1123rd Transportation Company Truckmasters' Section, Arkansas National Guard that deployed to Operations Iraqi Freedom, presented Congressman Marion Berry (D-AR, 1st) with an Arkansas State Flag that was flown at Camp Dogwood, Iraq on May 28, 2003. According to Mr. Putt, "this is being presented for [Berry's] outstanding support and care of the Arkansas Guardsman." The presentation was made in Congressman Berry's Jonesboro office on August 19, 2004





Congressman Berry met with seniors and health care administrators at Saint Bernard's Village in Jonesboro, AR to discuss the new Medicare bill and other health care issues. The question and answer session was broadcast live on KASU-AM. Congressman Marion Berry recently met with soldiers of Arkansas' 39th Brigade Army National Guard training at Ft. Polk, LA. The 39th Brigade will head to Iraq in the coming months as part of the 105,000 troops replacing the 130,000 soldiers who have been in Iraq for nearly a year.
