CONGRESSMAN ARTUR DAVIS TO HOST 6TH ANNUAL MILITARY ACADEMY DAY FOR PROSPECTIVE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
 

BIRMINGHAM -- The office of U.S. Representative Artur Davis is scheduled to host the 6th Annual Military Academy Day Friday, November 7, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Birmingham Public Library.  Congressmen Davis will provide interested students with information about the various academies, the application and nomination processes for each, and encourage students to apply for this tremendous opportunity.
  
Representatives from all five military academies as well as area college ROTC programs are scheduled to attend to offer information to students.  In addition, Paulette Rowe from the office of Congressman Davis will explain the nomination process to all interested parties.  Typically, the event is widely attended: In 2006, more than 500 students attended this event at Birmingham’s Fair Park.
