BOSTON – Senator John Kerry today issued the following statement on the death of radio broadcaster, Jess Cain.

“Teresa and I were saddened to hear about the passing of Jess Cain. His legendry voice was inseparable from our best memories of The Impossible Dream season of 1967 and ‘the man that we call Yaz.’ Jess Cain entertained generations of New Englanders from his storied microphone at the old WHDH for millions who woke up every morning to his remarkable voice and signature sense of humor. He will be missed by all of us who welcomed him into our cars and kitchens every morning.”
