THOMPSON ANNOUNCES SECOND CLOSED HEARING ON
WEN-HO LEE ESPIONAGE INVESTIGATION

(Washington, DC) -- Senate Governmental Affairs Chairman Fred Thompson (R-TN) and Ranking Member Joseph Lieberman (D-CT) today announced the Committee will meet in a closed session at 10:00am on Wednesday, June 9, 1999 in Room S-407 of the Capitol for a hearing regarding the oversight of national security methods and processes relating to the Wen-Ho Lee espionage investigation. The hearing will expand upon the issues discussed at the Committee’s May 20 hearing on the same subject.

Witnesses will include officials from the Department of Justice, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Department of Energy.
