THOMPSON SCHEDULES NOMINATION HEARING FOR SPOTILA

Washington, DC -- Senate Governmental Affairs Chairman Fred Thompson (R-TN) has announced a hearing on the nomination of John T. Spotila to be Administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs at the Office of Management and Budget. The hearing will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 29 in Room 342 Dirksen Building. John T. Spotila is Counselor to the Deputy Director for Management at OMB. Prior to that, he was General Counsel of the U.S. Small Business Administration (1993-98), and a private practitioner at the Law Office of John T. Spotila in Cherry Hill, NJ and Philadelphia, PA (1977-93). He has also been contract partner at Shaiman, Dolchin, Slotkin & Spotila in Philadelphia (1981) and with Sacharow, Adler, Gold, Taylor & Keyser in Cherry Hill (1993). He served as staff attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice (1971-73). Spotila holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and a B.S. from Georgetown.
