Veterans History Project 2004 Partner Meeting

The unprecedented growth in the number of Official Partners joining us in recent months now puts the partner count at just under 1,000. Therefore, we feel the need to make a hasty retreat from our planned partner meeting on June 24 and 25, 2004, as we cannot accommodate such a large gathering. This decision allows us time to develop strategies to better serve and work with you, our valued partners.

Should you be visiting Washington, D.C. during the activities planned around the dedication of the World War II Memorial on May 27-30, 2004, we hope that you will visit us in the Veterans History Project pavilion on the National Mall. While our offices in the Library of Congress Adams Building will be closed during this period, we invite you to visit us at any other time when you are in Washington. If you have collections that you have not yet sent to us, please consider completing your work on them and send them to us via FedEx or UPS.

The Veterans History Project is entering an exciting growth phase with increasing national attention and a blooming base of volunteer interviewers in communities throughout the country. Our continued success relies on our strong connection with you, our Official Partners, and our Volunteer Corps of Interviewers, and we will continue to reinforce our mutual efforts in the months ahead.
