School District Resources

The NSRC's LASER Center serves as a catalyst for change in K–12 science education systems at the urban, state, regional, national, and international level by partnering with K–12 education, government, non-profits, business and industry, universities, and other community leaders.

The LASER Center has worked for over two decades to continually improve the teaching and learning of science for K–12 students through:

•the dissemination of current theory and promising practices, based on National Research Council reports and other peer-reviewed studies;
•leadership development; and
•five-year strategic plans for implementing a research-based science education program

The NSRC has a comprehensive portfolio of services designed to initiate and support the implementation of effective K–12 science education programs based on research and best practices for all students.
