Joshua Weiner, who received the Ph.D. degree from the University of California at Berkeley, was director of the Writing Program at the Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center and now teaches at Northwestern University. His first book of poetry, "The World's Room," was published in the Phoenix Poets Series.

His first book of poetry, "The World's Room," was published in the Phoenix Poets Series by The University of Chicago Press. He was a 2000 recipient of the Witter Bynner fellowship, selected by former Poet Laureate Robert Pinksy.
