John Irving
Best-selling author John Irving, who acquired a lifelong interest in writing at an early age, published his first novel at the age of 26. He is the author of 11 novels, many of which have been made into films. His most recent novel is Until I Find You (Random House, 2005). He has been elected to the American Academy of Arts and Letters and has received fellowships from the Rockefeller Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Guggenheim Foundation. He is recipient of an O. Henry Award, a National Book Award, and the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for The Cider House Rules. Mr. Irving lives in Vermont.
