Murray speaks on the Senate floor in support of her healthcare amendment to the Senate Budget Resolution citing the increasing demand for veterans services, particularly as new veterans return home from Iraq and Afghanistan, including approximately 4,000 National Guard members from Washington state. Unfortunately, the Republican majority killed the Murray Amendment by a vote of 47-53 in a setback for new and existing veterans throughout the country.
