U.S. ENERGY INFORMATION ADMINISTRATION EIA Publishes Two Winter Fuel Brochures for Consumers The Energy Information Administration (EIA) has published two brochures for the winter heating season that will be of interest to the general public, particularly those who use propane or natural gas for home heating. Both brochures explain, in laymen's terms, the factors that influence the prices of these commodities. Propane Prices: What Consumers Should Know also discusses how the use of propane varies according to customer, season and region. Residential Natural Gas Prices: What Consumers Should Know explains what customers pay for in their residential gas bills and what consumers can expect during the 2000-2001 heating season. Printed copies of the propane prices brochure are now available from EIA's National Energy Information Center. Printed copies of the residential natural gas prices brochure should be available by December 11. In the meantime, both brochures are available electronically on EIA's website at: and
