Daily Energy Situation Update Now Available

Starting today, following the onset of hostilities in Iraq and consequent heightened interest in oil markets, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) will be producing daily (Monday-Friday) updates of the world energy situation.  The report, called the Energy Situation Analysis Report (ESAR), will include information on the latest world oil market developments, oil production and infrastructure issues, the U.S. petroleum situation, and relevant special topics.

  The updated ESAR will be available each business day at 9:00 AM, Eastern Time on the EIA Web site at: http://www.eia.doe.gov/emeu/security/esar/esar.html.  The bottom of that page includes a link to sign up for e-mail notification of report updates.
