U.S. ENERGY INFORMATION ADMINISTRATION MEDIA ADVISORY 2003 National Energy Modeling System/Annual Energy Outlook Conference
The Energy Information Administration will host its eleventh annual National Energy Modeling System/Annual Energy Outlook Conference on March 18, 2003, at the Renaissance Hotel, 999 Ninth Street, NW, Washington, DC, 20001, near the Gallery Place Metro station. The conference includes speakers and attendees from Federal and State governments, private industry, and trade associations, discussing energy issues related to EIA’s Annual Energy Outlook 2003, which forecasts energy supply demand and prices out to 2025, and the National Energy Modeling System used to generate the forecasts. Topics covered include world oil market trends, future liquefied natural gas imports, restructuring of electricity transmission, U.S. petroleum refining capacity, implications of proposed power plant emissions legislation, factors impacting renewable penetration, and air transportation capacity constraints. Attached are the conference program and a complete list of the speakers. Handouts provided in advance by the conference speakers will be posted online by March 13, 2003, at www.eia.doe.gov/oiaf/aeo/conf/handouts.html in lieu of being provided at the conference.Conference RegistrationConference registration is free, but space is limited.
